LaDonna Wombochel reported on the success of the Giving Circle event held by the Community Outreach Committee in August. A total of $3,700 in donations were collected and went directly to three local nonprofit organizations, who will use the funds for programs that make a difference to our communities.

The Diversity in Action Committee organized a trip to see the play Fat Ham on the day following the meeting.

Upcoming events include Octoberfest which will be celebrated October 15 at Rohmey’s Restaurant in  Munster, a charming German eatery.
