The November 9th Voices United meeting was a “two-fer” on the topic of healthy aging. In the morning, 14 members walked over 3,000 steps (about 1.5 miles) burning nearly 100 calories each. This was an enjoyable warmup for our healthy aging presentation.

Voices United welcomed Isabella LoCicero from IGNITE to our October 5th brunch held at the Robson Ranch Clubhouse. Currently a student a Baylor University, Isabella is active at the local, state and national level advocating for women’s rights. She spoke at the Robson group’s annual IGNITE fundraiser.

Charles Gray, an employee at Robson Ranch, was the featured speaker at the February 2024 meeting of Voices United. He talked about his family’s history serving in the military and aviation. His comments reinforced the importance of generational service to the military in our country. The Pentagon estimates 80% of the current military force comes from families where the grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, or siblings have served in the military. In fact, more than 25% of the current military have a parent who has served.
