Who knew that a bingo event could be so dramatic and so funny?
Everyone knows how frustrating Siri can be when looking for directions. But who would have thought that you could laugh about it?
The same thing is true about gaining weight over the holidays—who knew?
Actors from the Robson Ranch Drama Club knew. And they shared their knowledge with members of Voices United when the Drama Club presented three delightful skits at the November monthly meeting of Voices United on just those subjects.
The first skit, “Bingo Ladies Gone Bad” by Laura Pfizenmayer, illustrated the competitive nature of mature women. The second skit, “SIRI” by Bob Naquin, underscored the horror of technology gone bad. The final skit a dance number, “Stretchy Pants” by Carrie Underwood, was a clear reminder that holiday eating is upon us and to be mindful in selecting one’s attire.
The skits were the part of the program that followed discussions about community needs in Denton County. The members needed a good laugh and got one.
